Kayaking Grey Glacier

Lake Grey

In the base camp you will dressed with a neoprene suit, waterproof jacket and boots, poogies (kayak gloves), skirt, life-jacket. In a safety briefing you will get to know your kayak, paddle, route and conditions.

On lake grey your kayak expedition will involve paddling around the large floating icebergs, aiming towards the east side of the glacier and getting pretty close to the giant ice wall. While you are resting and enjoying this incredible place your guide will offer you a snack and a hot drink. If weather conditions permit, we drive along the island called nunatak on our way back to the base camp.

This is an ideal excursion for people who already have planned spending one night at Grey camping o shelter.

Itinerary

Location: Grey Lake and Glacier, Torres del Paine National Park.

Duration: 2.5 hours.

Availability: From October to April 25th.

Departure times: 9:00 / 11:00 (just if you are coming from hotel Grey with the grey III navigation) / 14:00 / 17:00. From Grey shelter.

Included / Not included

Included: Equipment, guide, snack and a hot drink.

Not included: Park entrance fee, transport Puerto Natales-park-Puerto Natales.

Important: This excursion DOES NOT include transport from Puerto Natales to the park.

Park entrance fee (high season): Foreign adult $21,000 CLP, Chilean adult $6,000 CLP.

Specific gear for the activity: Base layer (bottom & top) so that you can wear the wetsuits over the top, sunglasses.

Note: Only for passengers between 14 and 65 years old. Group minimum of 2 people / maximum 12 per excursion.
