Embark on an unforgettable journey to admire one of the largest flying birds on the planet. With a wingspan exceeding 3 meters, the Patagonian Andean Condor soars over the dramatic slopes and cliffs of Laguna Sofia.
Departing from Puerto Natales, a short 30-minute drive brings us to Laguna Sofía, where our trek begins. We’ll follow a scenic trail toward the towering conglomerate rock walls—the natural habitat of these impressive condors.
Along the trail, keep an eye out for diverse local flora and various bird species, including eagles and smaller native birds. At the summit, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding fjords, lakes, and mountain ranges. Here, we’ll take a relaxing break for a snack.
After enjoying this incredible landscape and its wildlife, we’ll head back along the trail and return to Puerto Natales.
